Love

#1 Lecture on Love

In the Webster's New World College Dictionary there are very many definitions of the word LOVE:
1. A deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment or devotion to a person or persons
2. an expression of one's love or affection (give Mary my love)
3. a feeling of brotherhood and good will toward other people
4. a) a strong liking for or interest in something (a love of music) b) the object of such liking
5. a) a strong unusually passionate, affection one person for another, based in part on sexual attraction b) the person who is the object of such an affection; sweetheart; lover
...and more...
In the Bible love is sometimes translated as charity (an act of goodwill or affection which implies that good works derive from love) and spoken of as that which will be left when all other gifts are gone:
1st Corinthians 13:8,13
(8) Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail: whether there be tongues, they shall cease: whether there be knowledge it shall vanish away...
(13) And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
In the dictionary the word charity is also defined as: the feeling of goodwill, benevolence, kindness or leniency in judging others, and a voluntary giving of money or other help to those in need. This shows that where there are love feelings there will be positive results or actions toward others - love implies good behavior toward another. In John 15:13 it records that Yahshua the Messiah said "greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." He even said in Matthew 5:44 to "...love your enemies..." and in Matthew 19:19 he states that one should "love thy neighbor as thyself..." Everyone knows that John 3:16 declares, "For Yahweh so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Yahweh's son, Yahshua, gave His life for us while we were yet sinners (enemies to the good). The life that Yahshua laid down for us was pure and holy, without sin, the only life that could serve as the ultimate sacrifice for all of our disobedience to Yahweh, to save our souls. Believing the report that He did this for us is the requirement to receive His Holy Spirit to free us from sin (Heb 11:6, 9:26) and at the universal revelation for our souls to receive glorified spiritual bodies (Rom 8:17; Phil 3:21) and learn in ages to come instead of being assigned to the Mystery of Iniquity, forever ruled by Satan. To have faith in this salvation, evidence is required (Heb 11:1) and when received it produces knowledge that becomes part of our minds and hearts, the requirement for eternal life according to John 17:3.

Clearly love is a very important attribute of Yahweh, one He wants us to learn through this purpose He has ordained, planned before creation, and which follows His own pattern, the Divine Pattern of the Universe: the Tabernacle Pattern. So that we could learn love, He even stepped into a supernal and incorporeal form to create the spiritual and physical realms as Yahweh Elohim, and revealed Himself at times (Ex 24:10; Ez 1:26; Jer 1:2; Jonah 1:1 to name a few) to prophets to begin to work out his plan for our salvation. As Yahweh Elohim He also created Satan, a perfectly created (Ez 28:14-15) and the most powerful angelic being, who in his conceit then proceeded to attempt to overthrow Yahweh, and by counterfeiting Yahweh's power and plan he deceived one third of the angels into following his lead and there was then war in heaven with the Archangel Michael finally throwing Satan and his cohorts, now called demons, into the earthplane, where with his Yahweh-granted great power Satan has deceived the entire world (Rev. 12:8-10). Mankind was thus given over to the example of no love, bad actions toward others and disobedience to Yahweh in order that Yahweh Elohim could manifest Himself in the earthplane, in a corporeal form, at the appointed time as Yahshua the Messiah on a mission to prove Who He is by fulfilling prophecy and finally sacrificing His specially prepared physical body to free us from Satan and his demons so that our souls could be saved in His body, in unity for eternity: understand His existence, His power, His love, and His spirit law and nature (John 4:24); that He is the one true Elohim or God as the world calls Him.

Terrible, terrible things happen on the earthplane because of Satan's rulership of it. Human beings, with far less power than Satan, cannot overcome their lusts which Satan uses to keep them in bondage to himself and ignorant of Yahweh. Once a person hears and receives the Truth as taught by another, the way Yahweh intended it to be (I Cor 1:21), his/her eyes and ears are open to the Satanic machinations going on in the earthplane. After many tests and chastisements allowed by Yahweh to teach us the error of our thinking and our selfishness, we begin to realize all we have gone through was because He loved us enough to call us and then to choose us to know His eternal power, His truth, His salvation. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith Yahweh" (Is 55:8-9). In His love and understanding of what we are burdened with in the realms that He created to work His purpose through, we can escape doing Satan's will by Yahweh's salvation. Once seeing clearly, it feels literally like a crazy world, a hell, that we are in but not of, and that is actually the case. Yahweh came into the physical as Yahshua the Messiah to provide us, created beings with physical bodies and souls, a way by which we can escape being ruled by Satan. Yahweh provided this salvation for the angels that did not sin as well. We live in the flesh but a short time, we live in eternity forever in one state or another. Yahweh's love empowers people who have His Holy Spirit to give His love and knowledge of the Gospel freely to others. Whether they accept the knowledge is a gift only possible if Yahweh empowers them to hear and see the Truth of it. This is the manner by which people are saved. Yahweh Elohim is doing all the work and we are willing vessels of His will to see His purpose manifested. His purpose is "...to gather together in one all things in the Messiah..." (Eph 1:10).

When one is saved, one will manifest love to his neighbor as well as those in the faith but Yahshua did say, "By this shall all know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:35). Speaking the Truth of the Gospel to another is the greatest manifestation of love and often it is not received, indeed one is frequently reviled for speaking it. When one considers that we have all been led astray, have all taken into our minds and hearts the error of the world ruled by Satan (John 12:31), the thoughts and concepts of confusion or Babel, then we can see how very hard it will be to hear the Truth, finally. It will hurt, it will be resisted often and frequently refused outright. A great deal of love is required to face all that rejection, objection, and even revilement to go ahead and speak it when called upon to do so and we could not overcome all that without the Holy Spirit which gives us Yahweh's love and direction to speak the Gospel and its mystery as well as when not to not speak it to another so he or she is not stumbled at a time not providential. We come at unique times in our education on this earthplane to receive or reject the Truth. When we are ready, He will provide a teacher which is quite literally a visitation of Yahweh because everyone with the Holy Spirit is in Yahshua's body, an Ambassador for the True Gospel.

#2 Lecture on Love

What is the definition of love in the dictionary?

In the Webster's New World College Dictionary there are many definitions of the word LOVE:
1. A deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment or devotion to a person or persons
2. an expression of one's love or affection (give Mary my love)
3. a feeling of brotherhood and good will toward other people
4. a) a strong liking for or interest in something (a love of music) b) the object of such liking
5. a) a strong unusually passionate, affection of one person for another, based in part on sexual attraction b) the person who is the object of such an affection; sweetheart; lover
...and more...

What is the Divine Love?

In the Bible, love is sometimes translated as charity (an act of goodwill or affection which implies that good works derive from love). The Bible gives us the following definition, o rather description, of love in 1st Corinthians 13:4-8:

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

From comparing these two descriptions of love, in the dictionary (human love) and in the Bible (Divine love), one can see that in the first one love is feeling, whereas in the second one love is much more than that. Spiritual (Divine) Love is not human feeling, but Divine attribute, because God (Yahweh) is Love (1st John 4:8). We will attempt to explain this difference below.

How is Divine Love different from the love of man?

To understand the difference between Divine Love and man's love, we should remember that everything that exists is 3-fold, according to the Tabernacle Pattern, because it reflects Our Creator. Love is not an exception and it is also 3-fold. English (and some other) languages don't have different words for these 3 kinds of love, but the Greek language does. When the Bible talks about Divine Love, benevolence, like in 1st Corinthians 13 above, the Greek word "agape" (Strongs #26) is used. This is the most commonly used word for love in the New Testament. When talking about the feeling of affection, fondness, a word "phillia" (Strongs #5373) and its derivatives are used in the New Testament, for example in Titus 2:4 ("...to love their children..."). To refer to a sexual love (passion), the Greek word "eros" is used. Thus, according to the tabernacle pattern, these words describe the higher or divine principle of love (agape), love expressed in the words or feelings (phillia) and then in the physical actions, either sexual (eros) or not (e.g., helping a sick child, buying flowers for the wife etc).

Without knowing the Truth, or being born of the Spirit (John 3:1-17), people don't have the Divine Love. The love they have, even as strong as the love of a mother for her child, or passionate romantic love, is only type and shadow of the Divine Love (Romans 1:19,20). As was mentioned above, Divine Love is not a feeling, but attribute. Feelings are emotions and are subject to change. Therefore so many people with time fall out of love. Yahweh is Love and He does not change (Malachi 3:6); therefore, His attribute of Love is different from emotion as it does not change.

Do people have Divine Love?

The answer is no and yes, depending on what group of people we are talking about. As stated above, people don't have Divine Love or any Divine attribute, unless they are born again (become spiritually minded). This sounds farfetched, as we all know people, Christians, Jews, Hindus or nonbelievers, who seem to genuinely love others. However, let's do a test. Let's ask religious people if they know that Father wants to be worshiped in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24) and not by our physical works (Acts 17:25), i.e. Passover or Lord's suppers, baptisms, or ceremonies. Or let's ask, for example, the Christians if they will use the true names of the Father and His son, Yahweh and Yahshua, instead of traditional Lord and Jesus. Many of these loving people will continue to worship the Creator as they used to, in spite of the evidence that Lord is a men's made substitution of the name Yahweh and Jesus is an erroneous name. Atheists, not believing in the Creator, will not even care about these things. This will prove that such people, although having human love for each other, don't have the Divine Love in their hearts, as the Divine Love rejoiceth in the truth (1st Corintheans 13:6). Divine Love is a gift of the Holy Spirit which comes with true faith: "...the love of Yahweh is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." (Romans 5:5). Therefore, only by hearing the true gospel of Yahshua and believing it, a former atheist, agnostic, Buddhist, Christian etc. can experience spiritual birth and become a partaker of Divine nature including His Love (2 Peter 2:4-7).

Love as fulfillment of the law

Israel was given a law by Yahweh through Moses, 613 ordinances which are typified and summarized by infamous Ten Commandments. This law could not make anybody perfect as pertains to the conscience (Hebrews 9:9), and was given to people to understand their sinful nature worthy of death and bring them to the true Savior, Yahshua, through faith in the Gospel (Galatians 3:24). By faith in Yahshua's resurrection, the Holy Spirit and Divine Love come in the heart of men, as a gift from Yahweh, and cleanse the conscience (1 Peter 3:21). Thus, the Love becomes the fulfillment of the Mosaic Law. Paul writes:

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13: 8-10).

When Yahshua the Messiah was asked which is the greatest commandment, he responded:

Thou shalt love the Yahweh thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40).

One can see that the law of Love fulfills all Law or ten commandments. This Love, therefore, is the true or Spiritual tithes we bring to Yahshua - the high priest of our soul (Hebrews 9:11), of which a tenth of men's livelihood they had to give to the priests under the Mosaic Law was only a type and shadow. All He wants, as our husband (Ephesians 5:25), is to love us and be loved in return (this is why to reflect His Love - he put the same desire in people's heart).

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of Yahweh; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth Yahweh. He that loveth not knoweth not Yahweh; for Yahweh is love. In this was manifested the love of Yahweh toward us, because that Yahweh sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  (1st John 4:7-9).
